As I wrote in another review, I've had a set of these for years and they are in constant use in my kitchen. The other day I was starting to pack for our annual three week self-catered vacation and writing a note to myself to remember to pack the boards. Lightbulb, penny drop moment! Why not buy a duplicate set of new boards and leave them packed in the "take on vacation" boxes? That way I don't risk leaving my beloved epicurean boards behind and have a spare set, used only three weeks per year, that will be like new if any of my day-to-day boards ever wears out.
The boards arrived and the quality and style have not suffered at all in the years since I bought the originals. Tip: Get some board butter and give them a good coating on both sides before use, they rinse off easily and are easy to clean.
